All RVezy users are required to verify their accounts in order to use our platform. The goal of this process is to make RVezy a safer and more secure community by ensuring that the identity of every user on our platform has been verified.
Guests are also required to add at least one approved driver to their booking for insurance and security purposes. The approved driver is the person who will be responsible and liable for the RV for the duration of the rental period.
You now have the ability to verify your account and add yourself as a driver, all in one step! This process can be completed directly on your mobile device and only requires your phone number and your driver's license.
Accessing the verification
To start your verification, you'll first need to send the SMS link to your phone. Head to your profile or click on the notification on your dashboard to begin.
In your profile, enter the phone number where you would like to receive the SMS link. Please note that the phone number entered must be a mobile number and cannot be a landline number.
Once you've received the link by SMS and clicked on it, you will be brought to a web page on your phone.
Completing your identity and driver verification
On this web page, you'll first have to select if you'd like to verify your identity and add yourself as an approved driver, or simply verify your identity. If you are the account holder and also the person who will be driving/responsible for the RV during the trip, select the first option.
After clicking on Continue, you'll have to answer a series of questions regarding your driving history. These are the criteria that must be met to be approved as a driver. Go through the questions and answer each of them truthfully and then click Continue.
Based on your answer to the questions above, you may be asked to provide more details on the next step. In the text box provided, make sure to include any relevant information about the accidents/convictions that took place, how many there were, and when they occurred. Once you're done, click Submit.
The next part of the process will require you to take a picture of your driver's license as well as a selfie, which will be used to verify your identity. You can consult this article or this video tutorial for a step-by-step explanation and troubleshooting tips.
Once you've completed this final section, we'll let you know if your identity and driver verification were successful. If not, you'll be contacted by a member of our Customer Success team within 24 to 48 business hours.
