Why should I list my RV with RVezy?
RVezy is a safe and secure platform that connects Canadian and American private RV owners to verified renters and allows owners to rent out their RVs when they’re not using them.
RVezy provides full rental insurance (where applicable) on your RV when it is being rented out at no additional cost to you, so you do not have to get your own commercial insurance policy. We take care of all payments, security deposits, tech support, marketing, and renter verification.
Listing your RV on RVezy is completely free! You have full control over all aspects of your rental business. You set your own pricing and availability, and you get to accept or decline any rental request that comes your way.
How does the booking process work?
Renters will send booking requests directly to your Inbox. You will have the option of either accepting or declining any request you receive. We recommend that you ask renters all of the essential questions related to their trip to help you with your decision.
Once you feel comfortable with the renters and their trip, you can accept their booking request. If you get multiple renters requesting your RV for the same dates, you can accept all the requests. It will then be first come, first serve: whoever pays their deposit first will secure the RV for those dates, and all other overlapping requests will be automatically declined.
What makes a successful RV handover?
For a successful RV handover, both the owner and the renter need to be fully comfortable with the rental taking place.
Prior to the renter's trip, make sure to confirm all of the information that was previously exchanged during your communication with the renter.
A full departure and return checklist, provided by RVezy, as well as detailed photos of the interior and exterior of the RV must be completed during the handover in order to have proper documentation of the state of the RV before it goes out.
This checklist is mandatory and crucial as any additional charges that might be added after the rental such as mileage, propane usage, late fees, damages, etc., and the submission of an insurance claim or dispute will be based on the information provided in the checklist.
You should take the time necessary to make sure that you the renter is fully comfortable with how the RV works and understands the different features. Both you and the renter should be 100% comfortable as soon as your RV heads out.
What is an approved renter?
For insurance and security purposes, RVezy does a complete background check on all renters who are renting your RV once their booking request has been paid for and confirmed.
Renters must meet specific requirements to be able to rent an RV, including being at least 25 years of age and having had an unrestricted driver's license for over 8 years. They must also have a valid driver's license, a clean driving record and insurance profile, and a valid credit card. If the requirements are met, the renter will be added as an Approved Driver to the booking.
This is required on every booking, even if you are delivering the RV or trailer to the renter.
How do fees and payments work?
Whenever you make a booking, RVezy applies a service fee to the total rental amount, any selected add-ons, and all closeout charges except for damage charges. A minimum service fee will be applied to all rentals if the service fee on the rental amount falls below $15/night for all motorhome rentals and $10/night for all trailer rentals.
Please note that a tax applies to the service fee based on your province of residence.
Owners who choose to use the Featured RV option to have their listing appear on the first page of the search results in their area will be subject to an additional service fee.
Payments to owners are made through direct deposit. Owners will receive the first 50% of their payout 24 hours after the rental start date, and the remaining 50% is then released when the RV is returned and the closeout process has been completed by both the owner and the renter.

What if I need to cancel a booking?
As an owner on RVezy, we understand that you might need to cancel a booking if your RV is unfit to be on the road. If this occurs, the full amount paid by the renter will be fully refunded, and you as the owner will not receive any payout.
Before cancelling a booking, you should always notify the renter so that they are aware of the reason for the cancellation and so that they have adequate time to find another RV for their trip.
Owners who repeatedly cancel bookings with no justification may be subject to penalties.
Additional information regarding RVezy's cancellation policy can be found here.
How does insurance work?
As an owner on RVezy, we offer the option to use our commercial fleet insurance policy to protect your RV when it is rented through our platform. This coverage includes:
- $2m Third Party Liability Coverage for Canada
- $1m Third Party Liability Coverage for the United States
- Collision & Comprehensive
- Physical Damage
- Fire, Theft & Vandalism
How it works: Your personal insurance policy will cover your RV when you are using it for personal use. When your RV is rented through RVezy, on the trip's start date, the insurance coverage will switch over to RVezy's commercial policy to protect your RV for the duration of the rental. Once the rental is completed, you are back to your own personal coverage.
Your personal insurance is never affected. In case of any accident or collision, any claim will be handled by RVezy.
For Canada: RVezy's insurance coverage applies to all trailers across Canada, as well as motorhomes that are registered and plated in the provinces of Ontario, Alberta, British Columbia, Nova Scotia, and Quebec. Qualifying motorhomes and all trailers are able to travel all across Canada and the USA.
For the US: RVezy's insurance coverage applies to all trailers across the 50 States, as well as motorhomes that are registered and plated in all 50 States with the exception of the state of New York. Qualifying motorhomes and all trailers are able to travel all across the US and Canada.
What if the RV breaks down when the renter is on the road?
In the event of a breakdown or mechanical failure of an RV during a rental, the RVezy roadside assistance coverage offered to renters at an additional cost will ensure that the renters are able to quickly and safely get off the road to the nearest repair facility.
At this point, it will be the owner's responsibility to pay for any mechanical repairs required to the RV so that the renters can continue on with their trip.
What is a dispute and what is the resolution process?
A dispute is opened when the owner and the renter are unable to come to a resolution in relation to additional charges, damage charges, reimbursement, etc.
Once opened, a member of RVezy's Resolution Team will review the case and will reach out to both the owner and the renter to collect the necessary information and documentation to assist in the resolution process.
As part of the mandatory departure and return checklist, it is important to make sure that all of the necessary photos are taken when the RV is collected and returned by the renter. This is to document the state of the RV, both on the interior and exterior. Completion of this will assist in any disagreement related to post-booking charges.
