At RVezy, we are always working to make our platform as secure as possible for everyone. That's why as soon as you sign up you will be prompted to verify your account and be asked for a government-issued ID, to confirm your legal name and address. This information helps us keep RVezy secure, fight against fraud, and more.
How does it work?
When you are asked to confirm your identity, you'll need to add a photo of a government-issued ID (driver's license). Additionally, you will be asked to take a photo of yourself. This is different from your profile details, which you can update at any time.
You will be asked to enter your phone number to begin the process. If the phone number entered is different from the one you signed up with you may be asked to save that as your primary number, so we can reach you in the future regarding details of any future bookings.
Your photo ID card must match the first and last name in which you used to create your RVezy account and the selfie you take must match that of the photo on your ID. If your ID doesn't appear to be valid, you may lose certain booking capabilities within the platform and future bookings may be canceled.
To verify your identity, complete the following steps:
- Log into your account and select MY RVEZY
- Edit your name on your account to match exactly the name on your driver's license
- On your Dashboard view, you will be prompted to select Verify
- Enter your mobile phone number
- Confirm that the name, phone number, and email on your account are accurate, otherwise, update your account profile before continuing
- Take a photo of your ID using your phone
- Take a selfie using the front camera on your phone
If the name on your account doesn't match the one on the driver's license, the verification will fail.

When will I be asked to confirm my identity?
This may happen in a few different parts of your journey. As soon as you create your RVezy account you will be prompted to verify your identity.
While highly recommended, it is not mandatory to continue exploring the platform: You can still search for RVs, request a booking, and even confirm reservations. If you reserve an RV your identity verification will be required before you start your trip. If your ID doesn't appear to be valid or this step is not completed, your reservation may be canceled.
Types of ID
RVezy allows you to add the following types of government-issued ID:
Your ID needs to be an official government-issued ID that includes a photo of you (a temporary government-issued paper license cannot be accepted).
You may be asked for a photo of the front and the back of your license when confirming your identity.
We take privacy and security very seriously. The government identification information you provide to verify your account is governed by our terms of service and is protected by the same secure encryption technology used to process online credit card transactions. Your identification details will be screened and verified by a third-party system made available to us.
The following information may be provided to the owner of the RV you request:
- The first name and first initial of your last name on your ID
- Whether your ID verification was successful
- Your profile photo
The following information will never be shared with an RV owner or traveler who uses RVezy:
- The photo of your ID
- The photo you take of yourself during the ID verification
- Any information listed on the government-issued ID
