The security deposit is set by the RV owner and is charged to the renter's credit card three days before the rental start date as per the payment schedule.
RVezy will hold this amount during the rental period and once the RV is returned both the owner and then the renter will need to complete the closeout on the website.
After both parties complete the closeout, the security deposit will automatically be refunded to the renter. If the owner adds any closeout charges to the booking, then the RVezy service fee as well as tax will be applied to those charges and the total will be deducted from the security deposit. (Damage charges are not subject to the service fee and tax).
Any remaining balance from the security deposit will be refunded to the renter. This is a standard credit card refund and generally takes 2-3 business days to appear on the credit card statement.
In the event of damages or an insurance claim, the security deposit will be held by RVezy until the closing of this claim, or until the damage charges are settled. Please refer to section 7.4 of the Terms of service for more details.
Note: As part of the checklist, make sure to take all the necessary photos when collecting and returning the RV to document well the state of the RV to avoid disagreement in regards to additional charges.
