The security deposit you set in your listing is used to cover damages that may occur during the guest's trip or to cover additional costs you may need to charge after your RV is returned, such as extra mileage, propane or generator usage, extra cleaning, etc.
Additionally, if an insurance claim is opened after your RV is returned, the guest's security deposit will also be used to cover their selected deductible.
As part of the departure and return inspections, make sure to thoroughly document the condition of your RV by taking photos and videos to help avoid disagreements regarding damages or additional charges.
