The return checklist is mandatory during the return of the RV, as any extra charges that might be added, such as mileage, propane usage, late fees, damages etc. as well as the submission of a claim or dispute, will be based on the information provided.
Completing the checklist and walk-around of the RV is equally the owners responsibility as much as it is the renters. Documenting the condition of the RV is important, as it can be used to protect yourself in the event of a dispute or claim.
Note that the return checklist is used to support a claim or a dispute but is not the tool to use to notify us about damages or to add damage charges to the booking.
After completing the return checklist, the owner and the renter will still need to close out the booking on the website or the app. This is where the owner can add any closeout charges and where any claim or dispute can be opened.
