Completing the inspection at the RV return is not the final stage of the rental process as the owner and renter both need to officially close the booking on the platform.
Closing out the booking allows the owner to post any closeout charges, offer refunds, open a claim, or to confirm the rental went well with no issues. The owner also has the possibility to leave a review for the rental.
To do this, the owner needs to click on the notification on their dashboard, or access the booking detail page from their inbox. There, they can add the closeout charges, if applicable, in the appropriate sections, and submit them.
If the damage amount is above the security deposit, the owner will be prompted to open an insurance claim. If an estimate is not available within 7 days from the rental end date, the owner is required to open a dispute to notify RVezy.
To issue a refund to the renter, the owner currently needs to open a dispute and advise us of the amount. Our team will then process it.
As soon as the owner closes the booking, the renter will be prompted to do the same. The renter will have the chance to review the additional charges or just confirm the rental went well with no issues. The renter can also leave a review for the owner. As soon as this step is done, the security deposit, as well as the final payout to the owner, will be automatically released.
If the renter does not agree with the additional charges or if the renter is not satisfied with the rental, they have the opportunity to open a dispute.
At this stage, both the security deposit refund and the final payout to the owner will be held until the dispute is resolved.
