Completing the return checklist is not the final stage of the rental process, as the owner and renter both need to officially close the booking on the website.
Closing the booking on the site allows the owner to enter closeout charges, offer refunds, open a claim or to confirm the rental went well with no issues. The owner also has the possibility to leave a review for the rental. To do this, the owner can just click on the notification on their dashboard, or access the booking detail page from their inbox. There, they can add the closeout charges, if applicable, in the appropriate sections, and submit.
If the damage amount is above the security deposit, the owner will be prompted to open an insurance claim. If an estimate is not available within 7 days from the rental end date, the owner is required to open a dispute to notify RVezy.
To request a refund to the renter, the owner currently needs to open a dispute.
As soon as the owner closes the booking on the website, the renter will be prompted to do the same. The renter will have the chance to review the additional charges and to confirm the rental went well with no issues. The renter can also leave a review for the owner. As soon as this step is done, the security deposit as well as the final payout to the owner will be automatically released.
If the renter does not agree with the additional charges or if the renter is not satisfied with the rental, he or she has the opportunity to open a dispute.
At this stage, both the security deposit refund and the final payout to the owner will be held until the dispute is resolved.
