As a renter, insurance coverage may be included in your booking at an additional cost if the owner of the RV is qualified to use RVezy's insurance.
The owner is qualified to use RVezy's insurance
If the owner of the RV you are renting is qualified to use RVezy's insurance, as the renter, you will be able to select one of the two levels of deductibles offered and pay the associated fee.
In this case, the insurance is mandatory and cannot be removed from the booking.
Please note that the deductible and its associated fee are based on many factors, including but not limited to the age, location, and value of the RV.
The owner is not qualified to use RVezy's insurance
If the owner of the RV you are renting is not qualified to use RVezy's insurance, they are solely responsible for ensuring that their RV is properly insured for private rentals, either through their personal insurance or through the purchase of commercial insurance coverage.
In this case, it is up to you and the owner to discuss the details of the insurance coverage they have on their RV. RVezy is not involved in this process.
When an owner is not qualified to use RVezy's insurance, in the event of damages or an accident, they are only able to claim up to the amount of the security deposit and are not able to file an insurance claim with RVezy.
You have your own insurance coverage
We understand that you may have an independent rental insurance policy of your own. In this case, your independent policy will not override the coverage that the owner or RVezy is providing.
Your rental insurance may only serve to protect you as the renter and may cover the cost of your deductible in the event of an insurance claim following the end of your rental, depending on your coverage and policy.
