Depending on the situation, it may be unclear what exactly caused the breakdown, and the responsibility will be determined by the evidence provided.
If it is not clear whether the damage was caused by a mechanical issue, wear and tear, or another reason, the repair shop where the RV was towed will need to inspect the RV and determine the cause of the breakdown. The shop will be able to assess what happened and provide an explanation and cause for the breakdown in a report.
For breakdowns caused by mechanical failure or wear and tear, the host will be responsible for the cost of the repairs. They will also be responsible for retrieving their RV from the repair shop in case the guest is unable to do so.
For breakdowns caused by the guest's actions, the guest will be responsible for the cost of the repairs. They will also be responsible for covering the RV host's costs to retrieve the RV, in case the guest is unable to do so.
The guest should notify RVezy and the host regarding the next steps and, before leaving the RV or making any repairs.
