What procedure should the renter follow if the RV breaks down during the trip? Updated December 10, 2021 20:24 If you are currently on a rental and the RV you have rented breaks down, the first step will be to contact the RV owner to inform them of the situation and try to troubleshoot the issue. If the issue cannot be resolved, you should then make sure that the RV is off the road and in a safe location. If you have selected RVezy's roadside assistance for your booking, you can call Access Roadside at 1-866-227 2213 and they will be able to tow the RV to the nearest garage. There, a technician will be able to determine the cause of the breakdown as well as the timeline for the necessary repairs. If you have not selected RVezy's roadside assistance, the RV will still need to be towed to a garage, however, this will be at your own expense. As the renter, you are responsible for the safe return of the RV to its owner, as per section 4.2 of the terms of service. Therefore, you are expected to wait a reasonable amount of time for the repairs to be completed. This timeline will depend on many factors such as the remaining length of the booking as well as your itinerary. Generally, you are expected to wait a minimum of 48 hours for the repairs to be completed, however, this period may vary. These situations are treated on a case-by-case basis and RVezy should be contacted at 1 (855) 697-8399 for guidance.
