Is an approved driver required if the RV is being delivered? Updated November 30, 2021 16:25 An approved driver is required on every booking, even if the RV is being delivered and will not be driven or towed by the renter. The approved driver will be the individual responsible and liable for the RV for the full duration of the rental. This can be either the renter themselves or any other individual partaking in the rental, however, this individual needs to be present for the entire rental period. Failure to add an approved driver prior to your trip's start date will result in a renter cancellation in accordance with our cancellation policy. Each individual who wishes to be approved as a driver must fill out the driver application. Make sure that you have verified your account so you're able to access this application. In the event of any damages occurring while an unapproved driver is driving the RV OR while there is no approved driver/renter on the booking, the resulting damages will not be covered by the insurance and the renter will be fully responsible for the total cost of repairs.
