For Canadian hosts located in British Columbia, Saskatchewan & Quebec
Canadian hosts in British Columbia, Saskatchewan & Quebec are no longer required to register a business account with RVezy to collect their own provincial sales tax (PST) for their rentals. Due to recent changes in provincial tax regulations in the above provinces, RVezy is now required to collect and remit the provincial sales tax (PST or QST) on behalf of all hosts in these provinces. RVezy fulfils its obligation and is registered with the following identification numbers:
- QST: 1230142587
- BC PST: 76509 3893 BT 0001
- Saskatchewan PST: 7659196
Hosts in these provinces are still able to collect their own federal sales tax (GST) for their rentals.
For Canadian hosts in all other provinces and territories
Canadian hosts in all other provinces and territories who have a registered tax account are able to collect their own sales tax (provincial and/or federal) for their rentals through RVezy by entering their tax number(s) in their listing.
At the very bottom of the Pricing section in your listing, you will have the ability to toggle this option on or off.
Once toggled on, you'll be able to enter your tax account number(s). Depending on which province you are located in, you may be able to enter only one number (for example, HST in Ontario) or two numbers (for example, GST and PST in Manitoba).
Once this number is saved, you will collect sales tax on every rental you receive moving forward. This amount is not subject to RVezy's service fee or tax, and the entire amount will be transferred to you as part of your payout for the rental.
For American hosts
American RV hosts currently do not have the ability to collect their own sales tax.
