Can I collect my own sales tax from the renter? Updated December 03, 2021 16:12 Canadian RV owners who have a registered tax account have the ability to collect their own sales tax from renters by entering their tax number in their listing. At the very bottom of the Pricing section in your listing, you will have the ability to toggle this on or off. Once toggled on, you'll be able to enter your tax account number. Depending on which province you are in, you may be able to only enter one number (for example, HST in Ontario) or two numbers (for example, GST and PST in British Columbia). Once this number is saved, you will collect sales tax on every rental you receive moving forward. This amount is not subject to RVezy's service fee or tax, and the entire amount will be transferred to you as part of your payout for the rental. American RV owners currently do not have the ability to collect their own sales tax.
