If you get in an accident while on your RV trip, you should first make sure that everyone involved is okay. You should then contact the host to notify them of the situation.
Based on the type of collision, you may need to file a police report at the nearest police station and exchange contact information (driver's license number, name, phone number, etc.) with the third party involved. Detailed photos of the collision should be taken, and the date, time, and location of the incident should also be recorded.
If the RV is still drivable, you can continue with your trip. Once you've returned the RV to the host, you can complete the return inspection together, documenting the damages incurred. The host will then have to open an insurance claim on the booking.
If the RV is not drivable;
- Please call Access Roadside at 1-866-227-2213 and provide them with your booking number. You will also have to show them your roadside assistance certificate when they arrive at your location. Roadside is available 24/7 and is valid across Canada and the United States. The unit will need to be towed to the nearest garage, and the condition of the unit documented.
- Remain with the vehicle under repairs are complete. You should notify RVezy and the host before leaving the RV at the nearest garage or making any repairs. It is prohibited to leave/abandon the RV without the express permission of your host and RVezy.
- Guest are not permitted to complete their own repairs. To qualify for insurance coverage and/or applicable reimbursements, guests must contact Access Roadside to report an incident and find repair services.
At this point, your trip will be interrupted, and the host will need to open an insurance claim on the booking. A refund for trip interruption will only be available to guests who have selected the premium protection plan.
As a guest, while the RV is in your care, custody, and control, you will be responsible for damage charges up to the deductible in the event of an insurance claim.
