Communication and Platform Guidelines

  • What are the restrictions and guidelines regarding guests’ and hosts’ contact information?

RVezy strives to create a safe and trustworthy environment for our users. To ensure a positive experience, it is crucial to understand and adhere to prohibited actions related to users' contact information. This article outlines the guidelines and rules that must be followed to maintain our platform integrity and protect our users' privacy.

    1. Misusing Guest Contact Information:

Using guests' contact or identity information in ways unrelated to the booking or breaching RVezy's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy is strictly prohibited. This includes any actions that violate the agreed-upon terms or compromise the privacy and security of our users.

    2. Pre-Booking Contact Information Requests:

Hosts are not allowed to request guests' contact information before booking. The contact information for both parties is available in the Booking Voucher document, which is available after a booking has been paid for and confirmed. All communications regarding a booking, including inquiries, discussions, and arrangements, must be conducted solely through RVezy's platform. This ensures transparency and protection for both parties.

    3. Unauthorized Credit or Background Checks:

It is prohibited to ask guests for their contact information to conduct credit or background checks unless it is required by law or for compliance reasons. Hosts should rely on the verification processes and trust & safety measures RVezy provides to ensure their guests' security, privacy, and reliability.

    4. Government-Issued ID Requests:

Hosts should not request guests to send photos of their government-issued IDs prior to their arrival unless legally mandated. This helps maintain guest privacy and prevents unnecessary sharing of sensitive information. RVezy conducts comprehensive background checks and identity verification procedures before guests can make bookings. Hosts are only required to verify guests' identification, if necessary, on the start date of the booking before releasing the RV to them.

    5. Violation of RVezy's Terms of Service:

Using the contact information provided by RVezy for purposes that violate our platform's Terms of Service is strictly prohibited. This includes any actions that go against the agreed-upon rules and guidelines set forth by RVezy.

    6. Unauthorized Use of Guest Contact Information:

Selling, sharing, or using guests’ contact information for marketing communications or adding them to contact lists without their explicit consent is not allowed. Hosts should respect the privacy of their guests and refrain from using their contact information for any purposes other than those directly related to their stay. Please check out the terms and conditions set out in RVezy’s Privacy Policy.

In conclusion, respecting guests' privacy and safeguarding their personal information is crucial to maintain trust and foster a positive community on RVezy. Hosts can create a secure and welcoming environment by adhering to the prohibited actions regarding guests' contact information outlined in this article. It is important for all users to understand and comply with these guidelines to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience on our platform.

  • What are the benefits of using RVezy for payments and communication?

At RVezy, the safety and privacy of our users is our top priority. By keeping all payments and communication within the RVezy platform, we can ensure that you are protected under our terms of service. You're also protected by our insurance, cancellation, and refund policies.

Making and receiving payments through our platform also ensures that the transactions are tracked, documented, and guaranteed. As a host, you should never accept payment or request a payment from a guest outside of the platform. Similarly, as a guest, you should never accept or request to pay a host outside of the platform.

If a transaction takes place outside of the RVezy platform, we cannot ensure its legitimacy and we cannot take responsibility for the rental or the transaction itself.

Using the RVezy platform is therefore in your best interest. If a user ever requests payment outside of the platform, please contact us and let us know.

  • What is RVezy's policy regarding settling additional payments and entering into off-platform agreements?

    Settling Additional Payments:

All payments related to a guest's stay, including extensions or any additional services, must be conducted through RVezy's platform. This policy ensures a secure and streamlined payment process, protects both parties, and allows for proper documentation and support in case of any disputes or issues that may arise. Exceptions to this policy are only granted in specific circumstances as determined by RVezy.

    Off-Platform Agreements:

RVezy strongly advises hosts and guests against entering into ANY off-platform agreements or signing additional contracts that are not part of the RVezy booking process. Off-platform agreements are not covered by RVezy's terms and conditions, and RVezy will not be involved in the fulfillment or resolution of such agreements. Engaging in off-platform agreements can pose risks to both hosts and guests, as they may have a different level of protection and support provided by RVezy.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding additional payments or off-platform agreements, we encourage you to reach out to our customer support team. They are available to provide assistance and clarify any issues you may have.

  • Can I exchange my contact information with the host or guest?

For ease of communication, especially once the guest is on their trip, hosts and guests can exchange phone numbers and email addresses. This information is accessible on the booking voucher provided for the trip once the guest has made their payment.

We still recommend communicating through the platform as this will ensure that a record of the communication is kept for future reference. This also ensures that all transactions are properly monitored for your protection.

Please note that as per section 10.5 of the Terms of Service, a host cannot redirect RVezy guests to another rental platform or to any other rental services.

  • What are some of the consequences of taking bookings off-platform, and why is it important for users to continue using the platform for their bookings?

Taking bookings off-platform can have several consequences, both for the users involved and the platform itself. Here are some of the key benefits of using and utilizing the RVezy platform:

    1. Insurance Protection Implications:

When bookings are made through the RVezy platform, both hosts and guests are typically covered by insurance provided through the platform. This insurance can include protection against property damage, liability coverage, and other contingencies. If a booking is taken off-platform, this insurance protection may no longer apply, leaving both parties vulnerable in case of any unforeseen incidents or accidents.

    2. Payment Security:

RVezy provides secure payment systems that protect both hosts and guests. By keeping bookings on-platform, hosts can ensure they receive their payments through secure channels, minimizing the risk of fraudulent transactions or non-payment. Guests, conversely, can have peace of mind knowing that their payments are protected until the completion of the booking.

    3. Dispute Resolution:

RVezy has mechanisms in place to mediate and resolve disputes between hosts and guests. By keeping bookings on-platform, users can take advantage of these dispute resolution processes if any issues arise during or after the rental period. This can save both parties time, effort, and potential legal complications that may arise when dealing with disputes outside of the platform's framework.

    4. Trust and Verification:

RVezy has systems for verifying the identities of both hosts and guests. These verification processes help build trust and credibility among users. When bookings are conducted off-platform, the platform loses the opportunity to ensure the authenticity of users and provide the same level of trust and safety.

Overall, taking bookings off-platform can negatively affect both users and the platform itself. It undermines the safety, security, and convenience provided by the RVezy platform while also potentially jeopardizing insurance protection, payment security, and dispute resolution processes. It is in the best interest of hosts, guests, and the platform to keep bookings within its ecosystem to ensure a positive and reliable experience for all parties involved.

    2. Asking Guests to Create Separate Accounts or Install Third-Party Apps:

All RVezy listings should be easily accessible to guests without any additional requirements. We aim to provide a seamless booking experience within our platform, and any actions that hinder or complicate this process are not allowed.

    3. Canceling Existing Reservations and Redirecting Guests to Book Off RVezy:

It is strictly prohibited to cancel existing reservations made through RVezy and redirect guests to book outside of our platform. • What are the restrictions and guidelines regarding communication outside of the RVezy platform?

To maintain the integrity, security, and transparency of the RVezy platform, there are specific restrictions and guidelines regarding communication outside of our platform. These guidelines help ensure a reliable and protected booking process for all users. Please take note of the following:

    1. Requesting Guests to Fill Out Forms or Communicate via non-RVezy Channels before accepting a booking:

Hosts should not request guests to fill out forms or communicate through channels outside of RVezy, such as calls or emails, prior to accepting booking requests. All communication related to a booking, including inquiries, discussions, and arrangements, must be conducted exclusively on the RVezy platform. This policy guarantees transparency and safeguards the interests of both hosts and guests.

    2. Requesting Contact Information from Guests Before Booking:

Hosts must refrain from requesting guests' contact information before a booking is confirmed. All guest communications related to a booking, including discussions, itinerary details, and inquiries, should be conducted solely on RVezy's platform. This policy helps maintain a centralized and secure communication channel for both hosts and guests.

This includes making payments or conducting any other booking-related activities outside of RVezy. Such actions are strictly prohibited and undermine the protections and benefits provided by RVezy.

Adhering to these restrictions and guidelines ensures a fair and trustworthy environment for all users. It also helps us maintain the highest standards of security and quality within the RVezy community.

If you have any questions or concerns about these communication policies, please reach out to our customer support team. They are available to provide assistance and clarification.

  • What is RVezy's policy regarding entering into third-party agreements?

RVezy acknowledges that there may be situations where third-party involvement is necessary in the RV booking process. RVezy does not assume liability for any outcomes or losses resulting from these agreements. This article provides an overview of guidelines to follow when entering into third-party agreements, highlighting RVezy's role and limited involvement.

    1. Establish Clear Communication:

Effective and transparent communication between the parties involved is essential. RVezy encourages open dialogue to ensure a shared understanding of the agreement's terms and conditions. However, RVezy does not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of any information exchanged between the parties.

    2. Define the Scope and Purpose:

Clearly define the scope and purpose of the third-party agreement to establish mutual understanding. Discuss the tasks, services, or responsibilities the non-party will undertake, but note that RVezy does not guarantee their fulfillment or the quality of services provided.

    3. Written Agreement:

Creating a written contract is recommended to formalize the agreement. However, RVezy is not involved in the creation, execution, or enforcement of such contracts. Parties should seek legal advice to ensure all necessary aspects are addressed, understanding that RVezy holds no liability for the agreement's terms and conditions.

    4. Confidentiality and Data Protection:

While RVezy prioritizes user data protection, handling confidential information or personal data in third-party agreements is the sole responsibility of the parties involved. RVezy disclaims liability related to confidentiality and data protection practices of non-parties and advises compliance with applicable regulations independently.

    5. Insurance and Liability Considerations:

Consider insurance and liability aspects when entering third-party agreements. RVezy provides comprehensive coverage through its insurance protection; however, please carefully review the coverage before making any third-party agreements. RVezy and its providers do not extend insurance protection beyond its scope and are not responsible for any gaps or deficiencies.

    6. Dispute Resolution Mechanisms:

RVezy encourages amicable resolution of disputes, but resolving any disputes arising from third-party agreements is the sole responsibility of the parties involved. RVezy does not mediate or arbitrate disputes and holds no liability for outcomes or resolutions. Parties should establish their preferred dispute resolution mechanisms within their agreements.

    7. Termination and Exit Strategies:

Parties involved should determine the termination and exit strategies for third-party agreements. RVezy does not dictate or enforce termination conditions or procedures. Outline the terms and procedures for termination independently, recognizing that RVezy assumes no responsibility for consequences or actions resulting from termination or exit.

    8. Payment Responsibility:

RVezy is not responsible for making any payments related to these agreements if they are not in line with our Terms of Service. RVezy reserves the right to deny any such payments if it deems fit, based on its discretion and adherence to its Terms of Service.

In conclusion, when entering third-party agreements with non-parties in RV bookings, it is important to understand RVezy's limited responsibility. By adhering to the guidelines, parties can navigate these agreements responsibly. However, it is essential to recognize that RVezy is not responsible or liable for any outcomes or consequences resulting from these agreements.
