An approved driver is the individual who will be driving or towing the RV and who will be responsible and liable for the condition of the RV for the duration of the rental period. This individual therefore must be present for the full duration of the rental. This can be the renter themselves or any other person partaking in the rental.
At least one approved driver must be added to every booking, even if the RV is being delivered and will not be driven or towed by the renter. Any individual who is planning on driving or towing the RV must be added as an approved driver.
Failure to add an approved driver prior to your trip's start date will result in a renter cancellation in accordance with our cancellation policy.
Each individual who wishes to be approved as a driver must fill out the driver application. Make sure that you have verified your account so you're able to access this application.
Accessing the driver application
Approved drivers can only be added to a booking once it has been paid for and confirmed. When your payment has been processed, you will receive a notification prompting you to add an approved driver to your booking.
There are two ways to access the driver application:
You can head directly to the Profile section of your RVezy account and click on the Drivers tab.
From there, simply click on Add Driver to begin filling out your application.
You can also access the driver application through your booking details page. In your RVezy Dashboard, there will be a notification prompting you to add a driver.
Click on View Details and you will be brought to your booking details page.
Simply click on Add Driver at the top of the page and you'll be brought straight to the Drivers tab in your Profile section.
Click on Add Driver again to begin filling out your application.
Completing your driver application
Once you've found where to access your driver application, you can begin filling it out.
The first step will be selecting which country your driver's license is from. This will determine the type of application you have to fill out.
For renters in the US: You will be prompted to enter your cell phone number so you can receive a verification link to complete your application.
The process that follows will be very similar to the process to verify your account so you should already be familiar with this. You can refer to the account verification article and YouTube tutorial for help completing this.
You will also be asked to answer a series of questions about your driving history and will then be able to submit your driver application.
For renters in Canada and the rest of the world: You will be asked to fill out an application form that includes some personal information found on your driver's license, a series of questions about your driving history, and the submission of pictures of your driver's license.
You must upload a clear picture of the front and back of your driver's license. The file format should be either .jpg, .jpeg, or .png, and the file size must not exceed 4MB. PDF files are not accepted.
Submitting your driver application
After completing the steps above, you'll be able to submit your driver application. It may take a few seconds to process, but you will then be able to see the status of your application, either approved or not approved.
If your driver application has not been approved, please contact us for assistance.
In the event of any damages occurring while an unapproved driver is driving the RV OR while there is no approved driver/renter on the booking, the resulting damages will not be covered by the insurance and the renter will be fully responsible for the total cost of repairs.
