When an accident or collision occurs, a claim will have to be opened during the closeout process on the website or the App.
If the collision was not too significant, and the guest can continue with their trip, the claim will be opened upon return of the RV, during the closeout.
The host is required to get an estimate from a garage and then add the quoted amount into the “damage” section in the closeout as soon as possible. They will then be prompted to open a claim, provide relevant documentation, and fill out a form. Once completed, RVezy will be notified, and a member of the Trust And Safety team will reach out to both the host and guest to gather information.
If the host can't get an estimate, they can always put a rough amount into the "damage" section in the closeout.
It is important that the inspections are done at the departure and return of the RV by both parties. The inspection is equally the host’s responsibility as much as it is the guest’s in order to document the condition of the RV and to protect oneself in the event of a claim.
If the collision was significant and the trip had to be interrupted, RVezy will need to be notified immediately, and an insurance claim will need to be opened.
If the guest has to leave the RV behind at a garage due to extensive damage, if the return inspection does not appear on their App, the guest must document the state of the RV through photos and videos for insurance purposes before leaving the RV at the garage.
