When an accident or collision occurs during a rental, a claim will have to be opened through the website or the app. The claim can be opened while the trip is still occurring or for up to 30 days after the trip has ended.
If the collision is not too significant and the RV can still be safely driven, the guest can continue with their trip and the host can open a claim once the RV has been returned. If the collision is significant and the trip has to be interrupted, RVezy should be notified immediate and an insurance claim will need to be opened right away.
If the guest has to leave the RV at a garage due to extensive damage, they must notify RVezy before doing so. The guest should document the condition of the RV through photos and videos for insurance purposes before leaving the RV.
The host will need to open a claim by accessing the booking in their RVezy account and clicking on Start insurance claim. You can consult this article for more information: How do I open an insurance claim on a booking?
It is important that both inspections are completed upon departure and return, by the host and the guest. This is an equally shared responsibility for both parties, in order to document the condition of the RV and to protect oneself in the event of a claim.
