Whether you’re setting off from Canada or the United States, understanding how taxes work based on where your RV is located can make your trip planning smoother. In this article, we break down the tax details for both Canadian provinces and certain U.S. states so that you can focus on the excitement of the open road.

If you're renting an RV located in British Columbia or Saskatchewan: You'll be charged a federal tax (GST) applied to the RVezy service fee and protection plan, as well as a provincial tax (PST) applied to the entire booking cost.
If the host you are renting from has set up a tax account to collect their own sales tax, you may also be charged the host's federal sales tax (GST) on the rental amount, cleaning fee, add-ons (if applicable), and delivery fee (if applicable).
If you're renting an RV located in Quebec and the host has not set up a tax account to collect their own sales tax: You'll be charged a federal tax (GST) applied to the RVezy service fee and protection plan, as well as a provincial tax (QST) applied to the cleaning fee, add-ons (if applicable), delivery fee (if applicable), protection plan, and RVezy service fee.
