If the owner has opted into RVezy Insurance
If the RV owner has opted into our insurance coverage, the renters will have the possibility to choose one of the 2 deductible levels offered at an additional cost when submitting a booking request. The insurance on the booking in this case would be mandatory, and cannot be removed.
During the RV collection, the owner will provide the renter with the insurance voucher or the "pink slip" for US rentals.
Note that the deductible rate is calculated based on many factors including the age, location, and value of the RV/trailer.
Please refer to the following article to check if your province or State is covered by RVezy Insurance:
What does RVezy insurance cover?
If the owner has opted out of RVezy Insurance
If an owner wishes to insure their RV during rentals, it is solely their responsibility to provide the insurance coverage, whether it be through RVezy (see above) or a third-party provider (personal or commercial insurance).
If an RV/trailer is not eligible to be covered by our insurance, or if an owner has opted out of our insurance, an amount up to the security deposit may be claimed by the owner to cover damages.
If an insurance charge is not included in a booking invoice and the owner possesses coverage with a third-party provider, the owner will discuss insurance details directly with the renter, and therefore not involve RVezy.
If the renter has their own insurance coverage
The renter may also have an independent rental insurance policy of their own, however, it will not override the coverage that the owner or RVezy should provide.
The renter’s protection may only serve to protect them as the renter and may cover the deductible cost in the event of a claim post-booking completion, depending on the provider and policy.
