When to Complete Account Verification
Guests: While it's recommended to verify your identity upon creating a RVezy account, it becomes mandatory once you've reserved an RV. Verification is required to access your rental agreement.
Hosts: Account verification is mandatory before your RV listing can be published live on the site.
Types of Accepted Identification
RVezy accepts official government-issued photo IDs, including driver's licenses and passports. Temporary licenses or paper licenses are not accepted.
Privacy and Security Measures
We take your privacy seriously. The information you provide during verification is protected by secure encryption technology and is governed by our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Your identification details are screened and verified by a third-party system. Certain information, such as the first name and initial of your last name, and whether your ID verification was successful, may be shared as necessary. However, sensitive details like the photo of your ID, the selfie you take during verification, and any information listed on the government-issued ID will not be shared with RV hosts or travelers.
How to Verify Your Account
Navigate to the Profile section of your RVezy account or click on the verification notification on the Home screen of the RVezy App. In Account Settings, ensure your mobile phone number is correct and click on "Send Verification Text." The phone number must be a mobile number, not a landline.
- Receive Verification Link: You'll receive a text message with a verification link. Click on this link to proceed.
- Start Verification Process: On the web page that opens, click on "Start Account Verification." Confirm your account information, including name, phone number, and email address.
- Upload Driver's License: Have your driver's license ready. The page will request access to your camera; ensure you allow this access. Follow the prompts to capture a clear photo of your driver's license.
- Take a Selfie: Next, you'll be prompted to take a selfie. Ensure your face is clearly visible, without hats, glasses, or accessories not present in your ID photo. Good lighting is essential to avoid glares.
- Confirmation: After completing these steps, a confirmation screen will appear. You will receive an email from our Customer Success team within 24-48 hours regarding the status of your verification.
Troubleshooting Tips
- Ensure your mobile number is correct and capable of receiving text messages.
- Allow camera access when prompted; if not prompted, enable camera permissions in your phone settings.
- Follow best practices for capturing photos: use clear, flat surfaces for your ID, ensure all edges are visible, and maintain good lighting to avoid glares.
