  • Managing your RVezy account

    Managing your RVezy account effectively helps ensure a smooth RV rental experience, whether you're exploring as a guest or earning as a host.

    While browsing is possible without signing up, an account is needed for specific actions. Guests need one to book an RV or contact hosts, and hosts require an account to list their RVs.

    To sign up, visit RVezy.com or download the RVezy app from the App Store or Google Play Store.

     

    Multiple ways to sign up

    You can sign up with an email address and password, or you can sign up through your Google, Facebook, or Apple account.

     

    Age requirements

    Keep in mind that you must be at least 21 years old to list an RV and at least 25 years old to rent an RV. This is a part of our terms of service and exceptions cannot be made. If you don't meet this requirement, you won't be able to proceed with using our platform.

     

    Editing your account information

    Once you've created an account, you can update your profile:

    • Go to Account settings to modify details like your name, phone number, address, and password.
    • Update your profile photo by clicking on the pencil icon and selecting an image from your device.
    • For email changes, contact our support team.

     

    Resetting your password

    If you signed up with an email address, click "Forgot password?" on the login page and follow the instructions in the email you receive.

    If you signed up through Google, Facebook, or Apple, reset your password on the respective platform.

     

    Deleting your account

    To delete your account using the RVezy app:

    • Open the app and log in.
    • Tap "More" and select "Account settings".
    • Scroll down to "Delete your account".

     

    Account deletion is permanent and cannot take place under certain conditions, including:

    • An upcoming confirmed booking.
    • A rental that ended less than 45 days ago.
    • An active insurance claim, an ongoing request for money or a dispute.
      • In such cases, you'll need to wait until the dispute or claim is resolved, and/or the booking is completed before proceeding with account deletion.

    At RVezy, trust and security form the foundation of our community, ensuring all users have a safe experience. We achieve this by verifying the identities of those who engage with RVezy.

     

    Why we verify identity

    Identity verification is crucial in maintaining a safe and trusted environment on RVezy by confirming the legitimacy of our users and minimizing fraudulent activities. This process involves submitting a government-issued ID and a selfie. Verified identities mean secure interactions and genuine transactions.

     

    When to verify your identity

    • Guests: Recommended at account creation; mandatory once an RV is reserved.
    • Hosts: Must verify before your RV listing is published on the platform.

     

    Accepted identification

    Acceptable IDs include government-issued photo IDs like driver's licenses or passports. Temporary or paper licenses are not valid for verification.

     

    How identity verification works

    • Navigate to your Account settings or click on the verification notification in your dashboard.
    • Ensure the phone number is correct and click Send verification text.
    • Open the link sent to your phone number via SMS and confirm your account information.
    • Allow camera access and follow the prompts:
      • Take a photo of the front and back of your driver's license.
      • Take a selfie.

    You'll receive a confirmation email within a few minutes if your identity has been successfully verified. If your submission requires a manual review, you'll be contacted by our support team within 24 to 48 hours.

     

    Privacy and security

    Your information is encrypted and safeguarded under our Privacy Policy. Only essential information, like verification success, is shared; sensitive data remains private.

     

    Troubleshooting tips

    • Ensure you enter a mobile phone number and that it can receive text messages.
    • Use a mobile device with a camera, like a smartphone or tablet.
    • Allow camera access during photo capture; check your device settings if needed.
    • Use proper lighting to avoid glares on your ID photo.
    • Remove accessories that may obstruct your face, such as glasses or hats.

    We only collect the data necessary to deliver our services effectively, such as managing accounts, processing payments, and providing support.     Advanced security measures

    Our website uses robust encryption and security protocols to safeguard your data during transmission and storage. We host our site on secure servers, and reputable third-party payment processors handle sensitive payment details. Access to your personal data is restricted to authorized personnel trained in data privacy.

    Privacy by design

    We partner with third-party providers under strict confidentiality agreements. These partners are carefully vetted and regularly reviewed to meet our high data protection standards.     Payment processor

    • Secure payments: RVezy uses Stripe.com, one of the industry's most secure payment processors.
    • Host information: Banking details submitted by RV hosts are inaccessible to anyone, including RVezy staff, once submitted.
    • Guest information: Credit card data is encrypted; RVezy staff can only access the last four digits and expiration date.

     

    Your role in security

    While we do our utmost to secure your data, you also play a crucial role in protecting your personal information. Here are a few tips to help you keep your information safe:

    • Keep login credentials confidential and always log out of shared devices.
    • Use strong, unique passwords for your accounts; consider using a password manager.
    • Monitor your account for unusual activity and report issues immediately.

  • Off-platform policy and guidelines

    RVezy ensures the security of all transactions by requiring all bookings, payments, and communications to stay on the platform. The below guidelines protect both hosts and guests by ensuring transparency, security, and protection for all parties involved in the booking process.

     

    By signing up on RVezy, you agree to abide by our terms and policies, which includes our terms of service. In order to protect our users, there are certain behaviours that are prohibited or strongly discouraged. Note that the below is not an exhaustive list.

     

    Prohibited behaviours

    Moving current, future, or repeat bookings off of RVezy

    In accordance with section 3.5 of our terms of service, this includes:

    • Asking or encouraging a host or guest to move current, future, or repeat bookings off of RVezy
    • Including links that take people off of the RVezy platform in listing descriptions or in listing messages
    • Offering or soliciting discounts to book off of RVezy
    • Cancelling existing bookings to rebook off of RVezy

    In the event of repeated or severe violations, we may suspend or permanently deactivate a user's listings or account.

     

    Payment for any booking fee off of RVezy

    It is prohibited to request, send, or receive payments outside of RVezy. In accordance with section 10 of our terms of service, all transactions related to a booking must be made through the RVezy platform to monitor and guarantee their legitimacy. This includes, but is not limited to, rental payments, payments for services such as delivery or add-ons, and post-booking charges.

    Any service for which payment was made or received outside of RVezy will not be protected, and RVezy cannot be held responsible if any issues arise in relation to the payment or the service itself.

    In the event of repeated or severe violations, we may suspend or permanently deactivate a user's listings or account.

     

    Requiring guests to use other websites or apps

    The goal of RVezy is to provide a cohesive and seamless user experience within its own ecosystem, ensuring that all interactions and transactions are conducted safely and efficiently. As such, it is prohibited to enforce the use of third-party applications for facilitating any aspect of the booking process, including managing reservations or communicating with guests.

    Requiring guests to create additional accounts or engage with other apps complicates the booking experience and can compromise the platform's security measures.

    In the event of repeated or severe violations, we may suspend or permanently deactivate a user's listings or account.

     

    Discouraged behaviours

    Communicating outside of the platform

    All pre-booking discussions, inquiries, and arrangements must occur exclusively on the RVezy platform. Hosts are strictly prohibited from requesting guests to communicate through non-platform channels, such as phone calls or emails, before a booking is confirmed.

    Once a booking is confirmed, hosts and guests can exchange phone numbers and email addresses to facilitate communication during the rental. However, it is strongly recommended to continue communicating through the RVezy platform to ensure all interactions are monitored and documented for safety and record-keeping.

    Misusing a guest or host's contact information in ways that contravene our terms of service and privacy policy is strictly prohibited.

     

    Off-platform agreements

    RVezy strongly advises hosts and guests against entering into any off-platform agreements or signing additional contracts that are not part of the RVezy booking process.

    Off-platform agreements are not covered by RVezy's terms of service and can pose risks to both hosts and guests. RVezy will not be involved in the fulfillment, enforcement, or resolution of such agreements.

    If you choose to utilize an off-platform agreement or supplementary rental contract as a host, it must be disclosed in your listing description and made available to the guest prior to confirming the booking.

    If a guest refuses to sign an off-platform agreement or contract that was provided after confirmation of their booking, RVezy will not enforce a guest cancellation. The onus will be on the host to cancel the booking, in accordance with our host cancellation policy.
