If you get in an accident while on your RV trip, the first thing you should do is make sure that everyone involved is okay. You should then contact the host to notify them of the situation.
Based on the type of collision, you may need to file a police report at the nearest police station and exchange contact information (driver's license number, name, phone number, etc.) with the third party involved. Detailed photos of the collision should be taken and the date, time, and location of the incident should also be recorded.
If the RV is still drivable, you can continue with your trip. Once you've returned the RV to the host, you can complete the return inspection together, documenting the damages incurred. The host will then have to open an insurance claim on the booking.
If the RV is not drivable;
- If you opted into roadside assistance, please call Access Roadside at 1-866-227 2213 and provide them with your booking number. You will also have to show them your roadside assistance certificate when they arrive at your location.
Roadside is available 24/7 and is valid across Canada and the United States
- If you did not opt into roadside assistance, you are still able to contact our roadside provider at your own cost. The unit will need to be towed to the nearest garage and the condition of the unit documented.
At this point, your trip will be interrupted, and the host will need to open an insurance claim on the booking.
Please note that in the event of an approved insurance claim, the guest will be responsible to pay the selected deductible.
