At RVezy, the safety of our guests and hosts is our top priority. We understand that natural disasters can impact travel plans, and we’ve outlined the following policy to guide both guests and hosts in such situations.
Initial Steps
If a guest believes their trip may be affected by a natural disaster, they must first contact the RV host to discuss possible solutions. These may include:
- Postponing the trip to a later date (subject to host agreement).
- Modifying the itinerary or destination to an unaffected location.
When the Natural Disasters Policy Applies
If the trip cannot be completed due to a natural disaster, the Natural Disasters Cancellation Policy may apply. Under this policy, the guest is entitled to a full refund and the RV host will have their cancellation penalties waived. The host must cancel the booking and contact RVezy to waive the penalties.
This policy applies only if all the following conditions are met:
- Booking Start Date: The trip is scheduled to begin in 30 days or less. If the booking is further out, the guest must wait until the 30-day mark to reassess the situation.
- Direct Impact: The location of the trip is directly impacted by the natural disaster, and there is a clear and immediate risk to the guest’s safety or the RV’s security if travel occurs.
-
No Alternatives Available: There are no viable options to:
- Postpone the trip due to either party's availability.
- Modify the itinerary or destination (e.g., due to trip length limitations, campground closures, etc.).
If the Host Refuses to Cancel
If the conditions for this policy are met and the host is unwilling to cancel the booking, RVezy will step in to process the cancellation directly and ensure the guest is refunded.
If the Conditions Are Not Met
If the policy criteria are not met, it is the responsibility of the guest and host to find a mutually acceptable resolution. Any refunds outside of the standard guest cancellation policy are at the host’s discretion. RVezy is not able to enforce or guarantee any additional refund beyond what is outlined in our standard policies.
