Natural disasters cancellation policy
At RVezy, the safety of our guests and hosts is our top priority. We understand that natural disasters can impact travel plans, and we’ve outlined the following policy to guide both guests and hosts in such situations.
Initial steps
If a guest believes their trip may be affected by a natural disaster, they must first contact the RV host to discuss possible solutions. These may include:
- Postponing the trip to a later date (subject to host agreement).
- Modifying the itinerary or destination to an unaffected location.
When the natural disasters policy applisIf the trip cannot be completed due to a natural disaster, the natural disasters cancellation policy may apply. Under this policy, the guest is entitled to a full refund and the RV host will have their cancellation penalties waived. The host must cancel the booking and contact RVezy to waive the penalties.
This policy applies only if all the following conditions are met:
- Booking start date: The trip is scheduled to begin in 30 days or less. If the booking is further out, the guest must wait until the 30-day mark to reassess the situation.
- Direct impact: The location of the trip is directly impacted by the natural disaster, and there is a clear and immediate risk to the guest’s safety or the RV’s security if travel occurs.
-
No alternatives available: There are no viable options to:
- Postpone the trip due to either party's availability.
- Modify the itinerary or destination (e.g., due to trip length limitations, campground closures, etc.).
If the host refuses to cancelIf the conditions for this policy are met and the host is unwilling to cancel the booking, RVezy will step in to process the cancellation directly and ensure the guest is refunded.
If the conditions are not met
If the policy criteria are not met, it is the responsibility of the guest and host to find a mutually acceptable resolution. Any refunds outside of the standard guest cancellation policy are at the host’s discretion. RVezy is not able to enforce or guarantee any additional refund beyond what is outlined in our standard policies.
For any questions or concerns, please contact our support team.

What is RVezy? How does this work?
RVezy is the largest and most affordable RV rental marketplace in North America. We connect RV hosts with RV enthusiasts, allowing hosts to rent out their RVs and earn money while providing travelers with a safe and affordable way to travel.
As a host on the RVezy platform, you can earn up to $1,400/week by renting out your RV. We provide commercial insurance to your RV while it's being rented out, ensuring that you and your RV are fully protected during every rental.
Click here for more information about RVezy or on how to manage your account.
Why should I list my RV with RVezy?
RVezy is a safe and secure platform that connects Canadian and American RV hosts with verified guests and allows them to rent out their RVs when they’re not using them.
RVezy provides full rental insurance (where applicable) on your RV when it is being rented out, so you do not have to get a commercial insurance policy. We take care of all payments, security deposits, tech support, marketing, and guest verification.
Listing your RV on RVezy is completely free! You have full control over all aspects of your rental business. You set your own pricing and availability, and you get to accept or decline any rental request that comes your way.
How does the booking process work?
Guests will send booking requests directly to your inbox. You will have the option of either accepting or declining any request you receive. We recommend that you ask guests all of the essential questions related to their trip to help you with your decision.
Once you feel comfortable with the guests and their trip, you can accept their booking request. If you get multiple guests requesting your RV for the same dates, you can accept all the requests. It will then be first come, first serve: whoever pays their deposit first will secure the RV for those dates, and all other overlapping requests will be automatically declined.
What makes a successful RV handover?
For a successful RV handover, both the host and the guest need to be fully comfortable with the rental taking place. Prior to the guest's trip, make sure to confirm all of the information that was previously exchanged during your communication with the guest.
A full inspection form provided by RVezy must be completed by both you and the guest during the handover, to ensure the state of your RV is properly documented before it goes out.
You should take the time necessary to make sure that the guest is fully comfortable with how the RV works and understands the different features. Both you and the guest should be 100% comfortable as soon as your RV heads out.
How are guests verified?
For insurance and security purposes, RVezy does a complete background check on all guests who are renting your RV once their booking request has been paid for and confirmed. The guests must also verify their identity.
We ensure that all guests meet specific requirements to be able to rent an RV, which includes having adequate driving experience and a clean driving record.
How do payments and fees work?
RVezy Fees
RVezy applies a service fee to the rental amount and any add-ons for each of your rentals. If you request additional fees after the trip, a transaction fee of 5% will apply.
Please note that a tax also applies to the service fee based on the province or State where your RV is located.
Hosts who choose to use the Featured RV option to have their listing appear on the first page of the search results in their area will be subject to an additional service fee.
Payments
Payments to hosts are made through direct deposit. The totality of the rental payout will be released within 24 to 48 hours of the rental start date, and the amount will be deposited within 3 to 5 business days. What if I need to cancel a booking?
As a host on RVezy, we understand that you might need to cancel a booking if your RV is unfit to be on the road. If this occurs, the full amount paid by the guest will be fully refunded, and you as the host will not receive any payout.
Before canceling a booking, you should always notify the guest so that they are aware of the reason for the cancellation and so that they have adequate time to find another RV for their trip.
Hosts who repeatedly cancel bookings with no justification may be subject to penalties.
Additional information regarding RVezy's cancellation policy can be found here.
How does insurance work?
As a host on RVezy, we offer a commercial insurance policy at no additional cost to protect your RV when it is rented through our platform. This coverage includes:
- $2m Third Party Liability Coverage for Canada
- $1m Third Party Liability Coverage for the United States
- Collision & Comprehensive
- Physical Damage
- Fire, Theft & Vandalism
How it works: Your personal insurance policy will cover your RV when you are using it for personal use. When your RV is rented through RVezy, on the trip's start date, the insurance coverage will switch over to RVezy's commercial policy to protect your RV for the duration of the rental. Once the rental is completed, you are back to your own personal coverage.
Your personal insurance is never affected, and in the event of an accident or collision, the claim will be handled by RVezy.
Additional information on what you need to qualify for RVezy's insurance can be found here.
What if the RV breaks down while the guest is on the road?
RVezy offers guests roadside assistance coverage to help them in the event of a breakdown or mechanical failure of the RV during their rental. This coverage will ensure that the guests are able to quickly and safely get the RV off the road and to the nearest repair facility.
What is a dispute and what is the resolution process?
A dispute is opened when the host and the guest are unable to come to an agreement in relation to additional charges, damages, reimbursement, etc.
When a dispute is opened, it is assigned to a member of RVezy's resolution team. They will contact both the guest and the host to collect the necessary information and documentation and will then review the case.
