Am I allowed to cross the US-Canada border during my rental?
As a guest, you should share your itinerary with the RV host as they need to be aware of and comfortable with the locations where you will be bringing this RV. This includes crossing the US-Canada border, in either direction.
The great news is that RVezy's insurance and roadside assistance coverage are both valid in Canada and in the United States (except for restricted and prohibited areas). This means that the RV will still be covered if you cross the border, and you'll still have access to our roadside assistance services if required.
If you're planning on crossing the border with the RV, you should print a copy of your booking voucher and your roadside assistance certificate. Both of these can be found under the Documents section of your booking. The host should also provide you with a copy of the RVezy insurance certificate as well as the RV registration.
Please note that Mexico is a prohibited travel area. RVs are not allowed to cross the border into Mexico, and RVezy's insurance and roadside assistance coverage are both void if an RV travels to that area.

What is a high-risk user?
RVezy is committed to building your trust, helping you feel safe, and protecting every user throughout the rental process.
Our comprehensive verification system checks details such as name, address, government-issued ID, and more to confirm the identity of guests who book on RVezy. As part of that verification process, we also look for several factors that are known to indicate high-risk guests or trips. Based on the results of our verification process, you may be identified as posing a higher safety risk.
What happens if I’m flagged as a high-risk guest?
If you’ve been flagged as a high-risk guest, your booking will be cancelled and you’ll be issued a full refund.
How will I know if I’ve been identified as high-risk?
You’ll be notified by email as well as through a push notification if you’ve downloaded the RVezy app and enabled notifications.
What happens if I disagree with the results of your verification process?
Currently, there’s no way to appeal the results of our verification process. The process is completely automated and cannot be edited manually.
Please note that in an effort to maintain a safe community for all users, RVezy may collect your credit score for additional verification.

Is insurance included in the rental and do I have to pay an additional fee?
As a guest, insurance coverage may be included in your booking at an additional cost if the host of the RV is qualified to use RVezy's insurance.
If the host is qualified to use RVezy's insurance
If the host of the RV you are renting is qualified to use RVezy's insurance, as the guest, you will be able to select one of the three levels of deductibles offered and pay the associated fee.
In this case, the insurance is mandatory and cannot be removed from the booking.
Please note that the deductible and its associated fee are based on many factors, including but not limited to the age, location, and value of the RV.
If the host is not qualified to use RVezy's insurance
Suppose the host of the RV you are renting is not qualified to use RVezy's insurance. In that case, they are solely responsible for ensuring that their RV is properly insured for private rentals, either through their personal insurance or through the purchase of commercial insurance coverage.
In this case, it is up to you and the host to discuss the details of the insurance coverage they have on their RV. RVezy is not involved in this process.
When a host is not qualified to use RVezy's insurance, in the event of damages or an accident, they can only claim up to the amount of the security deposit and cannot file an insurance claim with RVezy.
If you have your own insurance coverage
We understand that you may have an independent rental insurance policy of your own. In this case, your independent policy will not override the coverage that the host or RVezy is providing.
Your rental insurance may only serve to protect you as the guest and may cover the cost of your deductible in the event of an insurance claim following the end of your rental, depending on your coverage and policy.
-
Can I remove the insurance from my booking?
If the host you are renting from is qualified to use RVezy's insurance to protect their RV, as the guest, you will not be able to remove the insurance from your booking.
If you will be moving your RV, you will be required to select one of the three levels of trip protection plans we offer, basic, standard or premium, as well as pay the associated fee. If you will not be moving the RV at any point during your rental, you will be automatically opted into our Stationary protection plan, and you will still be required to pay the daily associated fee.
In the event of an insurance claim following your rental, you will be responsible for the selected deductible.
-
What are the different deductible levels?
RVezy provides commercial insurance coverage for every rental where the RV host has qualified for our insurance. For these rentals, as the guest, you will be required to select a deductible level when sending your booking request to the host.
The following deductible levels are available based on the type of RV and its location. The prices for each deductible level are calculated based on a number of factors, including but not limited to the age, location, and value of the RV you are renting.

How do I know which deductible level I selected for my booking?
After having sent a booking request to a host, you may wish to check which deductible level you selected. To do so, head to your booking details page by going to "Trips" and selecting your booking. Under Manage Booking, select Edit Trip Protection. You will be shown your current trip protection plan, with its associated deductible, nightly rate, and roadside coverage.
If you wish to change your trip protection plan, you may do so any time up until 24hrs before your trip start date. The change will take effect immediately, and you will be automatically charged or refunded the difference in price from your new selection.
