Calendar tools & features

Learn how to configure your calendar and set your rental availability with ease.

  • Updating your RV calendar

The RV calendar allows owners to manage availability and pricing by blocking/unblocking dates and setting custom nightly rates via app or website. Dates may be unavailable due to settings, synced calendars, confirmed bookings, or expired/cancelled requests. Blocked dates prevent double bookings and are visually marked for clarity.

Your calendar helps you control when your RV is available and at what price. Keeping it up to date sets clear expectations for guests and helps you avoid double bookings. You can easily block or unblock dates, adjust your rates, and review why certain dates may appear unavailable.

    Accessing the calendar

You can easily access your RV calendar on both the app and website:

    • On the app: Tap the calendar icon on the bottom of the screen.
    • On the website: Click on the calendar tab.

If you have more than one RV listing, make sure to select the right listing from the drop-down menu at the top of the page.

    Blocking or unblocking dates

You can block dates anytime you don't want your RV to be booked. This is useful for maintenance, personal trips, or temporary closures.

    To update availability:

    1. Access your listing's calendar
    2. Select the date(s) you want to change. To select a date range, click the first date and the last date.
    3. At the bottom of the screen, mark the date(s) as available or unavailable.
    4. Click Update to save your changes. The blocked dates will be marked in yellow with a crossed-out circle.

Blocked dates instantly remove your RV from search results for those days. Unblocking dates makes the RV available again for booking requests.

    Customize your nightly rate

You can set custom rates for a date or date range to reflect peak seasons, holidays, or personal preferences.

    To update pricing:

    1. Access your listing's calendar
    2. Select the date(s) you want to change.
    3. At the bottom of the screen, enter a custom nightly rate.
    4. Click Update to save your changes. The custom rate will be displayed on the specific date(s) to help you easily identify them.

Custom rates override your base nightly rate for only the selected date(s). You can adjust or remove them anytime.

Why some dates may be blocked

Your calendar may show dates as unavailable even if you did not manually block them. Several factors can automatically affect availability.

    Calendar settings

Your availability settings can limit the dates guests can book. This includes:

    • Rental season
    • Preparation time
    • Advanced notice
    • Availability window

Dates blocked by your availability settings will be marked in striped gray.

    Synced dates

If you sync your RVezy calendar with another platform, imported bookings will block your dates. These blocks update automatically and help prevent double bookings. The dates are marked by an orange or blue band depending on the connected platform.

To review synced calendars, access your calendar and check your connected calendars under Availability.

    Confirmed bookings

Once a booking is confirmed, the booked dates are automatically blocked. These dates are marked by a green band and stay unavailable as long as the booking remains confirmed.

    Cancelled or declined bookings

If you've declined a booking request or cancelled a confirmed booking, the trip dates are automatically blocked. These dates are marked in yellow with a circled X.

    Expired bookings

If you've let a booking request expire, the trip dates are automatically blocked. These dates are marked in yellow with a clock.

  • Customizing your calendar settings

Your RV calendar settings control booking availability, including rental season, pickup/drop-off times, preparation time, advanced notice, availability window, and available days. You can set trip length minimums and sync your calendar with other platforms to avoid overlaps. Regularly updating these settings ensures smooth bookings, aligns with your schedule, and maximizes rental convenience and profitability.

Your calendar settings help you control when guests can book your RV and how each trip fits into your hosting schedule. Updating these settings keeps your calendar accurate, reduces last-minute surprises, and ensures every booking works for you. You can update these settings by accessing your RV calendar

    Availability

These settings help shape when your RV can be booked throughout the year. They help you manage seasonal preferences, prep time, and your hosting routine.

    Rental season

You can choose when your RV is available for rental throughout the year. Setting a rental season allows you to open only the months that work for your climate, maintenance plans, or personal travel. Dates outside of this range are unavailable to book.

    Pickup and drop-off times

Set the times guests can pick up or return your RV. Clear times help you plan your day and ensure you have enough time to prepare between bookings. You can select specific times or keep it flexible.

    Preparation time

Preparation time gives you a buffer between rentals. You can add time before and/or after each booking to allow for cleaning, restocking, and maintenance. These days will be automatically blocked on your calendar before and/or after confirmed bookings.

    Advanced notice

Advanced notice sets how far in advance guests can book. This helps avoid same-day or last-minute requests you may not be able to accommodate.

You can choose from the following options in the drop-down menu:

    • Same day (before 3 pm local time)
    • At least 1 day's notice
    • At least 2 days' notice
    • At least 3 days' notice
    • At least 7 days' notice

Keep in mind the following restrictions:

    • Motorhomes require at least 2 days' notice. Advanced notice cannot be set to 1 day's notice or same day.
    • All RVs listed in the State of New York are defaulted to at least 7 days' notice. Consult this article for more details: Protection Plan Coverage in New York.

    Availability window

Your availability window controls how far in the future guests can book. You can limit bookings to the next 12, 18, or 24 months, depending on your certainty and plans.

    Available days

You can choose which days of the week guests may start or end a booking. This is helpful if you prefer weekend departures or want to avoid midweek drop-offs.

    Trip length

Your trip length settings determine how long each booking can be. You can set minimum-night requirements, from 1 to 7 nights, to ensure your trips are worth the effort. If you want to allow shorter trips for the same price as your minimum nights, utilize the short stays feature.

    Connect calendars

If you list your RV on other platforms or manage bookings elsewhere, connecting your calendar helps keep everything aligned.

You can sync your RVezy calendar with other platforms to automatically import confirmed bookings and prevent overlap. You can also export your RVezy calendar to view it on other platforms or on external apps.

For detailed steps, visit Connect your calendar with other platforms.

By effectively managing these availability settings, you can enhance your RV rental experience, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable process for both you and your guests. Regularly adjust these settings to align with your personal schedule and rental objectives, maximizing both convenience and profitability.

  • Understanding short stays

Short stays let hosts accept bookings shorter than their minimum-night requirement to fill small calendar gaps and attract quick getaways. Guests pay the equivalent rental amount of the minimum nights, ensuring hosts cover costs. This feature offers flexibility during high-demand periods and control over pricing for brief trips, turning unused nights into potential bookings while maintaining earnings.

Short stays give you flexibility to accept bookings that are shorter than your minimum-night requirement. They can help fill gaps in your calendar and attract guests looking for quick getaways. Understanding how they work and how they affect the rental amount helps you tailor your listing to match your hosting style.

    How short stays work

Your listing includes a minimum-night requirement, which sets the shortest trip length you normally accept. Short stays allow you to override that requirement when your calendar has small gaps that don’t fit your minimum. This can help you avoid lost booking opportunities during busy seasons. You will always receive the rental amount equivalent to your minimum nights.

For example, if you require a 3-night minimum but have a 2-night gap between bookings, short stays allows guests to book those 2 nights for the price of three.

How short stays affect the rental amount

When you accept a booking request that is shorter than your minimum, the rental amount will be adjusted. This helps ensure that shorter bookings still cover your hosting effort, preparation time, and operating costs.

Let's say your nightly rate is $150 and your minimum trip length is 3 nights. A typical 3-night booking would earn you $450 ($150 x 3 nights). If you enable short stays, you could receive a 2-night booking but still earn $450. Rather than paying $150 per night, the guest would pay $225 per night ($450 / 2 nights).

A few things to keep in mind:

    • Guests will only pay the protection plan for the number of nights booked.
    • Guests will be prompted to add an extra night for a small fee, equivalent to the protection plan for the added night.

    When to use short stays

    Short stays are helpful when:

    • Your calendar has small gaps that you want to fill
    • You want more flexibility during high-demand periods
    • You prefer to choose which shorter bookings to accept
    • You want to maintain control over your pricing for brief trips

Enabling short stays lets you turn unused nights into potential bookings while still keeping your earnings aligned with the time and effort required to host.

  • Connecting your calendar with other platforms

Syncing your RV calendar on RVezy with other platforms prevents double bookings by automatically blocking confirmed dates. You can import calendars by adding iCal links from external platforms, with updates every 3 hours. You can also export your RVezy calendar to view bookings on other platforms or personal calendars like iCal or Google Calendar.

If you list your RV on multiple platforms or manage bookings outside of RVezy, connecting your calendar helps keep everything organized. Syncing your calendar reduces the risk of double bookings and gives you a clear picture of your availability across all platforms.

    How syncing works

When you sync calendars, confirmed bookings from other platforms automatically appear as blocked dates on your RVezy calendar. This keeps your availability accurate without needing to update each platform manually.

    Import a calendar

Importing a calendar lets you automatically block dates on RVezy when you receive a confirmed booking elsewhere.

    To import:

    1. Copy the iCal link from the external platform.
    2. Access your RVezy calendar.
    3. Scroll to Connect calendar in your calendar settings.
    4. Click Sync with other websites.
    5. Click Add calendar beside the relevant platform name.
    6. Paste your link and click Continue.

Your confirmed bookings will update automatically every 3 hours. You can also manually refresh the calendar(s) by clicking on Calendar synced, then clicking on the blue Sync button.

    Managing synced calendars

Dates blocked by the calendar sync will be marked in blue or orange, depending on the platform.

Once you sync a calendar and dates are blocked, you won't be able to unblock them manually in your RVezy calendar. If the dates become available again on the external platform, they will be unblocked in your RVezy calendar once it refreshes.

If you no longer want to sync a calendar, you can remove it at any time. Removing a calendar will stop future updates and remove existing blocked dates.

    Export your RVezy calendar

Exporting your RVezy calendar lets you view your confirmed bookings on other platforms or personal calendars such as iCal or Google Calendar. To export:

    1. Access your RVezy calendar.
    2. Scroll to Connect calendar in your calendar settings.
    3. Click on Connect.
    4. Copy your RVezy calendar link.
    5. Paste it into the external platform or personal calendar of your choice.
