For every RV rental on RVezy, completing a digital inspection form at both the start (departure) and end (return) of the rental period is mandatory. This process is crucial for documenting the RV's condition, ensuring transparency, and protecting both hosts and guests in case of disputes or claims.
If you haven't done so already, you can download the app by scanning the QR code below:
Departure Inspection
Accessing the Inspection:
To access the inspection form, both the host and the guest should navigate to either the booking details page or the home page of the RVezy app. This feature becomes available on the rental start date.
Inspection Steps:
- Verify the guest's driver's license.
- Document the RV's condition through photos of both exterior and interior.
- Note pre-existing damages, if any, and take corresponding photos.
- Record odometer, fuel tank, black and grey water tanks, propane tank levels, and generator usage (if applicable).
- Review and sign a series of statements, which differ for host and guest.
- Complete the inspection by signing and submitting the form.
Return Inspection
Accessing the Inspection:
The return inspection is available to both hosts and guests on the last day of the rental. The process is similar to the departure inspection.
Inspection Steps:
- Take photos of any new damages.
- Record final readings of the odometer, fuel, and propane tanks.
- Complete the form by signing and confirming the details.
Importance of completing Inspections
The inspection forms are integral to the RVezy rental agreement, as per section 3.5 of the Terms of Service. They safeguard both parties and are critical for processing disputes or claims. Failure to complete the inspections and the rental agreement may lead to automatic denial of disputes or claims.
Troubleshooting
If you're experiencing issues with accessing the inspection form, here are some common troubleshooting steps you can take to resolve the problem. First, check that the rental agreement has been signed, as this is a necessary step for the inspection form to become accessible. If it's not signed, complete this agreement promptly. Next, make sure both your RVezy app and your mobile phone are updated to the latest versions; outdated software can often lead to functionality problems. Additionally, verify that you're logged into the correct RVezy account by navigating to your profile in the app and confirming that the email address on file is the one associated with your account.
If you encounter access problems, document the RV's condition manually with photos/videos and submit to RVezy directly at hello@rvezy.com. For further assistance, contact RVezy support at 1-855-697-8399.
