    What is the Payout Guarantee?

The Payout Guarantee ensures you receive payouts for reservations canceled due to your RV being rendered undrivable, non-towable, or unsafe from damages incurred during an RVezy rental.

Why Should You Use the Payout Guarantee?

The Payout Guarantee provides peace of mind by protecting your income if your RV becomes unusable due to accidental damage during a rental. It minimizes financial disruptions, ensures steady earnings, and helps you focus on delivering great guest experiences. This added security can also make your listing more appealing to renters.

How to Enable the Payout Guarantee

You can activate the Payout Guarantee either automatically for all new bookings or manually for individual reservations. Please note: Opting into this feature adds an additional 10% service fee to your bookings. Payout guarantees are non-removable once added to a reservation.

    • Automatic Activation for All New Bookings:

      1. Navigate to the "Edit Listing" page.
      2. Go to the "Earn More" section.
      3. Toggle on the Payout Guarantee option.

Note: This setting applies only to new reservations received after activation; existing bookings remain unaffected.

    Toggle_EN.png

    • Manual Activation for Individual Reservations:

      1. After approving a booking request, access the booking details.
      2. In the "Manage Booking" section, select "Guarantee Your Payout."

Note: This option is available until the guest's security deposit is collected (72 hours before the trip start date). Once added, the Payout Guarantee cannot be removed from a reservation.

    Identifying Guaranteed Payouts

To confirm if a reservation has the Payout Guarantee:

    1. Go to the booking details.
    2. Check the payout details for a shield icon next to the payout amount.
    3. Open the payout details to see a confirmation message indicating the payout is guaranteed.

    How the guaranteed payout works

In the unfortunate event that your RV becomes undrivable, non-towable, or unsafe to operate due to an accident that occurred during an RVezy rental, you will first need to open a claim to get started.
A dedicated claims advisor will then contact with you to review your claim and assess your upcoming confirmed reservations.

If your claim is approved and you have upcoming reservations that meet the criteria to be eligible for a guaranteed payout, our team member will manage the cancellations and issue your guaranteed payout*.
Make sure you do not cancel the reservations yourself. Please wait for the claims advisor to instruct you on the course of action.

*RVezy will compensate you for payouts up to $5,000 per claim, or a maximum of $10,000 per year.

What are the conditions to receive a guaranteed payout?

Your reservation must meet all of the conditions listed below to be eligible for the guaranteed payout

The following scenarios are not covered under the guaranteed payout program

    • Lost rental income from an RVezy reservation must be due to damages that occurred to the RV during a trip booked through RVezy only.

    • Reason for cancellations must be due to the RV being undrivable, non-towable, or unsafe to operate due to an accident.

    • The insurance claim submitted to RVezy with regards to the damage must be validated and approved by our team.

    • Any reservation to be paid out in case of cancellation must have had the payout guarantee added to the reservation before the date of damage.

    • Any reservation to be paid out in case of cancelation should fall within 90 days from the end date of the trip where the damages occurred.
    • Lost rental income from any other rental service, platform, or any rental conducted privately.

    • Lost rental income from reservations canceled due to interior or cosmetic damages, or where add-ons are damaged.

    • Lost rental income from reservations canceled due to problems related to or caused by maintenance, wear & tear, or mechanical issues.

    • Any reservation that did not include the payout guarantee before the damages occurred.

    • Lost rental income from a claim that does not strictly follow RVezy’s resolution process as defined in our terms of service.

  • How can I refund money to a guest?

As a host, there may be situations in which you'd like to offer a refund to your guest due to an inconvenience or a mishap that took place during their trip with your RV.

To allow you to seamlessly send money to the guest through the platform in a secure and transparent manner, you will now be able to do so with the Send Money feature that will be visible in the booking details page.

When can a host send money to a guest?

Hosts will be able to use the Send Money feature once the booking is in the Trip Started stage, all the way until the booking is Completed. Money can be sent to guests up until 30 days after a trip is completed.

How do I use the Send Money feature?

To access the Send Money feature, click on the booking details of the guest who you'd like to refund. You can find the booking details by locating the booking under the Bookings tab or in your Calendar. Under your payout amount, you will be able to click on the Send money button.

    Screen_Shot_2022-06-09_at_3.33.46_PM.png

You will be brought to a new page where you will need to enter the amount of the refund as well as the reason for the refund.

Both fields are mandatory in order to proceed with the transaction. The minimum amount that can be sent is $20.00, while the maximum amount is the amount of your payout for the booking.

Once you have added the amount and reason, click on Send money. You will be prompted to confirm the transaction. If you have changed your mind or would like to make some modifications to the amount or reason, you can hit Cancel. Otherwise, click the Confirm button to process the transaction.

Once you've clicked Confirm, you will be taken to a page that will confirm that the money has been sent to the guest and will be withdrawn from your bank account within the next 2-3 days. The guest will be notified of this change with a push notification, as well as an email.

Can I send money to the same guest more than once?

Yes, you can send money to a guest as many times as you'd like. However, you will not be able to send more than the total payout amount for the booking.

  • Can I collect my own sales tax from the guest?

For Canadian hosts located in British Columbia, Saskatchewan & Quebec

Canadian hosts in British Columbia, Saskatchewan & Quebec are no longer required to register a business account with RVezy to collect their own provincial sales tax (PST) for their rentals. Due to recent changes in provincial tax regulations in the above provinces, RVezy is now required to collect and remit the provincial sales tax (PST or QST) on behalf of all hosts in these provinces. RVezy fulfils its obligation and is registered with the following identification numbers:

    • QST: 1230142587
    • BC PST: 76509 3893 BT 0001
    • Saskatchewan PST: 7659196

Hosts in these provinces are still able to collect their own federal sales tax (GST) for their rentals.

For Canadian hosts in all other provinces and territories

Canadian hosts in all other provinces and territories who have a registered tax account are able to collect their own sales tax (provincial and/or federal) for their rentals through RVezy by entering their tax number(s) in their listing.

At the very bottom of the Pricing section in your listing, you will have the ability to toggle this option on or off.

    Screen_Shot_2021-12-03_at_10.25.35_AM.png

Once toggled on, you'll be able to enter your tax account number(s). Depending on which province you are located in, you may be able to enter only one number (for example, HST in Ontario) or two numbers (for example, GST and PST in Manitoba).

    Screen_Shot_2021-12-03_at_10.26.27_AM.png

Once this number is saved, you will collect sales tax on every rental you receive moving forward. This amount is not subject to RVezy's service fee or tax, and the entire amount will be transferred to you as part of your payout for the rental.

    For American hosts

American RV hosts currently do not have the ability to collect their own sales tax.

  • What is RVezy’s service fee for hosts?

A flat service fee of 20% applies to the total amount charged to the guest by the host. This includes the rental amount, cleaning fee, and add-ons.

This fee only applies to bookings that have been paid for and confirmed and is deducted prior to the host receiving their payout. A transaction fee of 5% applies to additional fees requested after the trip (including damage fees) rather than the flat service fee applied to the booking. Delivery charges are also only subject to a 5% transaction fee. This fee is used to cover the costs associated with processing the necessary transactions for the host and the guest.

    Minimum service fee

RVezy applies a minimum service fee of $15/night for motorhomes and $10/night for trailers. It will only apply if the service fee on the rental amount for a booking falls below this minimum.

    What it covers

RVezy's host service fee allows us to provide a platform designed to help you run your business smoothly and with peace of mind. It covers the costs of maintaining and improving the RVezy platform across our website and mobile app, as well as providing essential features such as direct customer support.

The service fee also allows us to provide you with online hosting of your RV listing, booking management, secure payment processing, commercial insurance coverage, guest verification, and marketing to millions of potential guests on your behalf.

Since our service fee is deducted before your payout is received, there are no upfront costs to listing your RV on RVezy.

    Service fee exceptions

RVezy's base host service fee is 20%, however, there may be instances where this fee is higher.

    Featured RV

RVezy offers an optional feature named Featured RV, which allows you to promote your RV listing by having it appear at the top of the search results in your area, increasing the number of booking requests received by an average of 57%. You can read more about this feature and how to turn it off or on here: What is a Featured RV?
If you turn this feature on for your RV listing, you will be subject to an additional service fee of up to 9%.

    Payout Guarantee

RVezy offers an optional feature to guarantee your payouts in the unlikely event your RV is damaged during a rental on our platform. Opting in to this feature will result in an additional 10% service fee applied to your bookings. You can read more about this feature here: How can I guarantee my rental payout?

    Older RVs

RVezy only accepts motorhomes that are less than 15 years old versus the current year and trailers that are less than 20 years old versus the current year. Exceptions may be made dependent on additional verification. You can contact us for more information.

If you list a vintage RV, it will be subject to a 25% service fee instead of the base 20% service fee for newer RVs.

If the guest accepts the fees, your payout will be issued and deposited within 3 to 5 business days.

If the guest disputes the fees, a member of our support team will be assigned to the dispute and will contact you within 1 to 2 business days. You’ll have up to 7 days after the dispute is opened to submit additional evidence, which you can do by accessing the booking in your account and clicking on the banner at the top of the page.

After collecting evidence from both you and the guest, our support team will review it and provide a final resolution. You can read more about the dispute process here.
