As a host, your response rate measures how quickly and consistently you respond to new requests and inquiries from guests. This will be made visible to guests when they are viewing your RV and in your profile, as well as in your host dashboard on the RVezy app.
How does it work?
Your response rate is based on the last 15 booking requests you received (excluding EZYmatch results). To maintain a high response rate, you need to respond to new requests and inquiries within 24 hours.
What if I haven’t received 15 booking requests?
If you’ve received 4 or less booking requests, your response rate will default to 100%. Once you receive a 5th request, your response rate will be updated to reflect how many of these 5 requests you responded to within 24 hours.
What counts as a response?
Responding to a booking means taking one of 3 actions within 24 hours:
- Responding to the guest’s initial message;
- Accepting the booking request OR pre-approving an inquiry by sending a special offer;
- Declining the booking request.
What should I do, then?
If you reply to the guest’s message within 24 hours but you don’t accept or decline the request (by letting it expire), that counts as a response.
If you accept or decline the request within 24 hours but don’t respond to the guest’s message, that counts as a response.
If you don’t respond to the guest’s message within 24 hours and you don’t accept or decline the request, that will negatively impact your response rate.
What about Instant Bookings?
Since Instant Bookings are automatically accepted, using this feature will positively impact your response rate. You should still make sure to respond to the guest’s message in a timely manner to confirm that you’ve received their booking.
Instant Bookings also count towards your response rate, so make sure to respond to the guest’s message within 24 hours.
How can I improve my response rate?
Keeping a high response rate is easier than you think! Simply reply to a guest's new message, whether it be for a booking request, an enquiry, or an InstantBook, within 24 hours.
You can improve your response rate by:
- Responding to new booking request messages within 24 hours;
- Responding to new inquiry messages within 24 hours;
- Using the Instant Book feature to automatically accept new requests.
